Overview
In a digital age where self-learning is increasingly vital, my project embarked on developing a self-paced learning system tailored to meet the unique demands of learners seeking flexibility and personalized educational pathways. This system is designed to encourage task planning, motivation, and a supportive community, making self-taught learning both accessible and engaging.
Solution
The solution emerged as a dynamic self-learning system, incorporating smart task planning, a motivation-driven framework, and a community of peer mentors. Key features like customizable learning pathways, progress tracking, and community support were prioritized to create a comprehensive learning environment.

Simplifying self learning management
This feature allows users to tailor their educational journey by adding courses at their own pace. Users can explore a wide range of subjects and add courses to their learning pathway, ensuring flexibility and personalization in their studies.

Progress Dashboard: Visualizing Success
The dashboard provides users with a real-time view of their progress using a cubic abstract progress visualizer. It features abstract cubes that users can shape and mold as they complete tasks. This interactive approach tracks progress and integrates a reward system based on timely task completion, enhancing motivation through visual achievements. It's designed to inspire users by showing the tangible outcomes of their learning efforts, with the option to share it with the community.
Task Scheduling for Courses
Our platform offers dual task scheduling options: Users can set specific dates and times for each task, or opt for automated task scheduling. The latter allows tasks to be automatically assigned starting from a chosen date, with customizable frequencies and consideration for weekends and break days, facilitating seamless time management.
Community Ranking System
A healthy competitive spirit is fostered through our ranking system, which places users in a community leaderboard based on their learning achievements and daily task completions. This feature encourages engagement and continuous improvement among learners.
Design Process
I worked in 3 sprints to start with a working hypothesis and evolve the concept by leveraging user testing. Toss-It is not just a mobile app but also an attempt to look at systemic intervention using service design and business strategy. At the end of the day, a viable business model behind a service brings success.

Community Chats and Blog
The community blog serves as a platform for users to share their learning insights and experiences. It’s a space for inspiration, advice, and communal knowledge sharing, helping users to connect and learn from each other’s paths.
Our chat feature enables robust interaction within the community, allowing users to engage in peer learning, share problems, form study groups, and support each other, improving the collective learning experience.
